I’m buzzing after getting my teacher hat on yesterday!
The old adage that work doesn’t feel like work when you’re having fun is so true.
I remember the days when I was in my corporate job being called to something else but not quite knowing what something “else” was.
A LOT has happened in the 6 years since I’ve left…and looking back on my journey I can see how all the dots connected and lead me to where I am today…
But geez when you’re in the thick of things it can be hard to see the forest for the trees.
In hindsight, I wish that I knew what to focus on…
The truth is… it’s not about what strategy you implement (quitting a job, starting a business, becoming a full-time mum).
It starts with you.
Specifically your mindset. Your beliefs. And aligning those to match what you truly desire.
When you can master your mindset and energy to achieve what really matters to you that’s when you hit the sweet spot of fulfillment and success.
Curious to know how to work with your mind and let it be easy?
Check out this week’s blog where I share the 3 rules of the mind and how you can use these rules to create a life and career that lights you up from the inside out.
Knowing the rules of the mind will empower you to use your mind more effectively.
Once you understand how your mind works then you can work with instead of against yourself.
#1: Your Mind Does What It Thinks You Want
Your beliefs are hard wired into your subconscious mind.
Between the ages of 0 and 7 you are scanning the world around you and making meaning, interpretation and rules of how the world works around you.
These beliefs you make at this age stick….
Your mind has the ability to create conditions and situations to support your beliefs which means it’s got your back and wants to make sure you’re moving away from pain and pleasure.
Sounds good right?
Technically yes but if you’ve got a belief running the show that isn’t serve you it can be a problem…
Let’s say for example you get hot and flustered when you need to present and hate the whole experience…
This may be a challenge for you because when you were younger you were laughed at for saying the wrong thing in class or stumbled over your words. Your mind associated pain and humiliation with speaking up and now you self-sabotage whenever you need to make a presentation (which is a necessary part of your job!)
Solution: Tell your mind that you love what’s necessary to achieve your goals. E.g. “I love speaking in public.” “Giving presentations excites me.”
#2: Your Mind Responds To Only Two Things
These two things are:
- The pictures you see and visualise
- The words you tell yourself
Solution: Visualise a positive outcome in any area of your life and talk to yourself better – it will change your life. Period.
#3: Your Mind Loves What Is Familiar
We are programmed to re-create and seek what is familiar
Familiarity = security = comfort
It’s up to us to ensure that what we deem as familiar is truly serving our real goals.
Solution: Keep taking action on the things you need to do in order to achieve your goal and eventually it will become familiar e.g. if you want to pursue that book you’ve been wanting to write…tell yourself you love waking up earlier to write before work and then DO it.
YOU GET TO WORK WITH YOUR MIND AND CHOOSE WHAT WANT TO CREATE IN YOUR LIFE AND CAREER.
It really is that simple.
The question is what do you want?
If you need help getting clear on what you want and how to rewire your mind to create a life and career that lights you up from the inside out send me an email at email@example.com and I’ll share with you how you can get hooked up with your own Rapid Transformational Therapy that will change your life.

Wishing you a beautiful rest of your week.
