It’s officially November!
Holy moly, how did that happen?!
How’s your year been, First Name?
I hope it’s been a goodie-filled with learning, growth, and fun.
Equally, if it hasn’t, that’s OK too.
I believe that those rough patches in life can often be the biggest periods of realignment and ultimately end up serving us better in the future….
Which brings me to today’s topic.
We can have grand plans to achieve goals…
…..Maybe you want to get that promotion.
…..Maybe you want to switch jobs.
…..Maybe you want to start that business
When you’re going after big goals, it can be so easy to get on the treadmill of..
“There’s more to do”
“I’m never going to get there” or
“I’m still so far behind.”
If that’s you, watch this week’s video on how to achieve soul aligned goals without burning out.
Not got time to watch the video? Read on for the transcript.
The past couple of weeks I’ve been in the go-go-go “doing” mode.
I’ve been wrapping up coaching journeys with clients and starting some beautiful new ones.
Personally, I’ve also graduated as a Feminine Embodiment Coach which was in alignment with my overarching theme for 2018: embodiment.
Meaning that my goal was to take all of the knowledge I’ve been learning and actually physically embodying that as wisdom in my body.
As I graduated I realized that this is a big milestone.
I spent a lot of time, energy and resources getting to this stage and I was close to brushing it off and moving onto the next thing.
Which is when I realized that this is the missing link to achieving the goals that we set and to keep on going after the next ones!
Not acknowledging our achievements has to stop.
It’s time to:
And in that order.
Too often we get stuck in this hamster wheel of doing. Thinking that we haven’t done enough and that things will fall apart if we stop.
But the truth is there’s always gonna be things to do.
There’s always going to be something that you need to celebrate!
The risk of not stopping to celebrate is that you don’t enjoy the journey is that you’re constantly in the future and you’re never allowing yourself to acknowledge just how far you’ve come.
So this has been a personal journey for myself and it’s also been the same for my clients as we’ve been reflecting on how far they’ve come…
It’s been incredible to witness their realization that actually they’ve got a lot to be proud of….
Some of my clients have:
……felt more comfortable in their jobs
……stepped into their leadership
We can be very quick to forget the transformation and the positive momentum we’ve been making.
We’re hardwired to look out for danger, the cracks, and where we still need improvement.
So my message for you this week is to:
Stop, reflect and celebrate how far you have come.
You can look back on the last month, six months, heck even five years.
You get to choose the time horizon.
Because here’s the thing….
When you’re pursuing a soul aligned career and going after those goals that really matter it can sometimes be really hard.
You don’t get the external validation from the world the world the right track.
We don’t get the encouragement and nods of approval from those people in our life that we want it from most.
So it’s really important to build this self-resilience and this self-checks in to say “I’m doing a good job. I’m on the right track and I’m proud of the progress I’ve made so far.”
So if you’re listening (or reading) this I want you to know that you have sooooo much to celebrate.
You have so much to proud.
If your external reality hasn’t manifested yet…
Maybe you haven’t yet started the business or you haven’t yet stepped into that confidence….
It doesn’t matter.
What really matters is the internal shifts and the commitment you’ve made to yourself to show up….
The commitment to have that career, to have that business, to have that life that’s really in alignment with what truly matters to you.
For that beautiful one, I really want to acknowledge you and say a huge thank you.
The truth is the world needs more women like you to step up and lead.
There is no one in the world who can do what you do, the way you do it.
The more you are yourself and honor who you are and the work you’re here to do, the better the world is going to be.
So I want to celebrate you and thank you for your commitment to being yourself in your soul aligned career.
Sending so much love congratulations and wishing you a beautiful week.
