The past couple of weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of speaking to many women who attended The New Savvy launch and the talk I presented at CATCH Pamper & Playdate on How to Balance Motherhood and Your Career.
It’s been amazing to hear what’s going on for all of you…
When it comes to following our hearts desires, doing work that feels meaningful, aligned and on purpose to who we really are…so many of us have the same fears, the same limiting beliefs, and the same doubts.
One of the phrases I keep hearing over and over again is:
“I’m not ready yet”
Man, do I relate to that phrase. Can you relate?
The truth is you’ll never be 100% ready to change from what you know.
BUT there are a couple of things you can do to lean into the fear rather than fight up against it.
Watch this week’s video blog to learn how to make a change, even when you’re not sure.
Short on time? Read on for the transcript.
Are you looking to evolve into the next stage of your career?
Do you want to do something that really matters but you find yourself saying the words….
”I’m not ready yet”
If so, this week’s episode is for you.
One of the phrases I keep hearing over and over again are “I’m not ready yet.”
And I get it.
The truth is…you’re never going to be 100% ready to…
….quit the job
….start that business
….ask for a raise
You’re not going to be ready to do all of these big things today but what will make the difference is taking micro action steps to get there.
Spoiler alert: even when you’ve done all your prep and you’re on the edge of taking the leap…you’ll never quite feel like you’re ready.
So if you are listening to this and you feel like you’re telling yourself…
“I’m not ready”
“I don’t know if I can do this”
Just know that you’re not alone.
We ALL go through the same thing. We all go through the same doubts.
Be compassionate with yourself.
Instead of playing the same tape or iTunes track in your mind “I’m not ready yet” or whatever song goes through your mind. Instead, ask yourself….
“What can I do to feel more ready?”
“What can I do to feel more sure?”
“What can I do to feel more prepared?”
And that’s such an empowering way to turn your limiting beliefs around instead of wallowing in the definite absoluteness of “I’m not ready yet”
Simply asking “What’s one little step I can take?” will begin the process of progress.
So that is my message to you beautiful one.
Remember nobody can do what you do the way you do it.
So keep on going.
If you ask a better question you’re going to get a better answer.
Have a beautiful week.
