I’m going to be honest with you…
I’m already ready to chill out and enjoy December already.
Even though Christmas is over 2 weeks away I’m ready to slow down, enjoy and get festive.
Whilst I’m usually someone who wants to maximize and go full pelt…I’m feeling a little….tired.
As I reflect back on 2015 I realize that I did a lot of pushing and stretching.
And in all honesty, I probably over did it.
So that’s why I’m declaring December the #monthofindulgence
I’m not just talking about eating good food and enjoying the excess that usually comes with Christmas.
I’m talking about indulging in more naps. More self-care. More quiet time. Scheduling less in the calendar. And allowing simply more space to breathe.
At the beginning of 2015 my word for the year was “Alignment.”
I deeply craved to create, do and be from a place that felt truly like me.
Problem is I didn’t allow myself enough pauses and quiet time to check in and tune in and make sure I was in alignment.
A whole lotta pushing that was totally unnecessary.
Hence this week’s mantra:
The more you have. The more you can give.
The truth is you can’t give what you don’t have to give yourself.
If you want to be more present with others….allow yourself some time to be present with yourself.
If you want to be patient…be patient with yourself.
If you want to give generously…be generous with yourself.
We can often put ourselves at the bottom of the heap until we have nothing left to give.
So join me in my #monthofindulgence and give more to yourself.
Whether that’s 5 minutes in the morning just to yourself, a massage, or heck even a weekend retreat for yourself. Just. Do. It!
