10 minutes before needing to collect my son from his playdate, I took a quick detour to the country park to just be.
As soon as I walked in, my whole body immediately relaxed and softened.
(I don’t know about you but being in nature has a way of restoring the body, mind and soul like nothing else…but I digress.)
As I sat on a bench overlooking the shimmering blue South China Sea, I thought back to the 3 minute quarterly review I shared with you last week.
After doing my review last week, I started coming down with a cold and as I write this to you today a week later, I’m in bed sniffling and coughing having to cancel all my clients and trainings (super disappointing).
And hence no video.
BUT a great opportunity to think about what’s really important.
Which leads me to this week’s thought…
What do you need to take off your plate?
What’s on your stop doing list?
As I was pondering on Question #2 from last week….
What hasn’t been working for you?
I realised that many women I work with, and myself included sometimes, have a tendency to:
- Take on too much
- Try and do things single handedly
- Spread themselves too thin
- Say yes when they want to say no
- Feel depleted
SO my challenge for you is to come up with 5 things that you will stop doing so that you can focus on the things that are really important and take after your most important asset…YOU!
Here are mine:
- Stop saying “yes” to be nice
- Stop soldiering on when I need to rest
- Stop stepping in and taking charge all the time
- Stop being overly accommodating and flexible
- Stop overcomplicating things
What about you? What 5 things are going on your stop doing list?
Leave me a comment below. I’d love to know!
Have a great week.
